Bushmills Public Conveniences - "A Disgrace"

A stronger sentiment than that in the title has been conveyed to me on a number of occasions by someone who meets and greets visitors to the Causeway Coast and Glens. Perhaps Moyle District Council can effect some remedies.

I've used the facilities provided by Larne Borough Council in Carnlough and they are maintained to a much higher standard than those in Bushmills - they even provide nappy changing facilities in the gents.

The complainant listed a series of faults: no gender symbol on the ladies entrance door, a broken soap dispenser, broken toilet paper holders and no coat hooks.

Added September 11

Months later - I was in Moyle Council offices yesterday and drew attention to these repairs that needed to be carried out. Lo and behold the gender symbol and the soap dispenser had been replaced. Now why wasn't this work done months ago in advance of the main tourist season?

Has slurry ever been dumped in this harbour?

Could a few high seas wash it all back into the harbour?
